On behalf of our client, a multinational producer, seller, and distributor of chemical and gas derived products, Swisslinx is searching for a Junior Supply Chain Operator.
Your Mission:
- In collaboration with the wider team, oversee inventory and ensure appropriate levels
- Interact with diverse stakeholders, from marine brokers and vessel personnel to organize deliveries, ship fixtures, and demurrage claims
- Review operations and suggest optimisation initiatives which secure savings
- Oversee schedules and maintain most cost and time effective voyage routes
- Collaborate with senior operators to negotiate on pricing and terms
- Perform periodic reporting and support the finance teams on budgeting and forecasting
- Check incoming demurrage claims
Your Background:
- University education in a relevant subject matter
- Experience in a similar position within the shipping sector – ideally wet cargo
- Demurrage experience – handling claims payable and receivable
- Strong commercial mind-set
- Business fluency in English and German
