Our client is a global medical technology company operating within a highly regulated and innovation-driven environment.
The organisation is currently undergoing a structural transition and is further strengthening its controlling function to ensure stability, transparency and effective business partnering across R&D and corporate functions.
The Senior Controller will act as a key finance partner to R&D, Quality/Regulatory and Medical Affairs. This is a hands-on senior business partnering role with a strong focus on project controlling and product costing within a dynamic and evolving organisational set-up. The position requires an individual who is comfortable operating in a transformation environment characterised by changing structures and processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as senior finance business partner to functional leadership
· Drive cost and project transparency across cost centres and R&D initiatives
· Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for the supported functions
· Analyse variances and provide decision-relevant insights to senior stakeholders
· Review, support and constructively challenge business cases, particularly within product development initiatives
· Ensure robust period-end controlling processes and high data quality standards
· Standardise KPIs, reporting frameworks and controlling processes
· Act as SAP Key User with a strong focus on the CO and PS modules
Requirements
· Minimum 7 years’ experience in controlling within a manufacturing or industrial environment
· Proven business partnering experience with senior leadership teams
· Solid exposure to project controlling, ideally within R&D environments
· Strong SAP expertise, particularly within the CO and PS modules (mandatory)
· Experience with SAP BW and Analysis for Office / advanced Excel
· In-depth understanding of product costing, hourly rate calculations and cost allocation within SAP
· Advanced Excel capabilities
· Exposure to ERP transformation projects (ECC6 to S/4HANA) is advantageous
· Fluent English and solid German required (preference for fluency in German)
· High level of resilience and the ability to challenge stakeholders in a constructive, solution-oriented manner
· Structured, hands-on and adaptable mindset
· Ability to start immediately
· Swiss / EU citizenship or an existing Swiss work permit
