On behalf of our client, a market leading medical devices company, Swisslinx is looking for a German speaking Software Engineer with strong C# .NET and WPF experience to join a 1-year contract in Rotkreuz, Switzerland.

In this role you would join a team of developers helping the customer get from raw data to the right results. This requires close collaboration with the domain specialists of the projects. Furthermore, the team are establishing a sustainable and generic calculation framework to be used across the company for instrument packages.

Your responsibilities would include the following:

• Provide a Software Design being align with system architecture, company guidelines and Software Engineering best practices
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development lifecycle
• Participate in defining work packages, estimation, planning, and implementation within the Software Development team
• Provide work status and issue notification within the Software Development team and if required to Software Project Management
• Accurate code design and implementation including the tests to verify the code against unit and/or subsystem specification
• Review and analyse your source code as well as on request the source code of your peers in the Software Development team
• Review application design, functionality, usability and performance to enhance it

In order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer in C# .NET
• 3+ years of experience working in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) application development
• Strong experience working in C# /.Net framework / .Net standard / .Net Core
• Knowledge of Task Parallel Library (TPL), MVVM Architecture and Entity Framework
• Experience with automated unit/integration testing and object-oriented design patterns
• Fluent in object-oriented languages
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field of study
• Fluency in English, written and verbal

Nice to have:

• Strong knowledge on object-oriented design and development best practices such as SOLID and eXtreme programming
• Leadership skills in designing and implementing test automation (lead in team available / SCRUM)
• Experience working in regulated environments, in particular medical devices
• Know-how on large-scale Data Management
• An active participant in Software Communities
• Good communication skills in German, written and verbal
