For one of our long-standing clients within the Insurance industry, Swisslinx are looking for an Economist to join the Group Economic and Strategy hub. This seasoned team is responsible for analysing and forecasting the global macroeconomic and insurance market environment. A major part of your job is to interact and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders as well as contributing in projects that have a lasting impact on the business.
Your main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
-Responsible for analysing the global insurance market trends, particularly in the Life sector on a European level
-Provide outstanding presentations in regards to relevant topics for internal and external key partners at a senior/executive level
-Managing end-to-end research process demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, able to deal at all levels
-Relevant and high level contribution to thought leadership initiatives by producing content on a major market or industry segment
-As part of the team, you will work closely with the Group Chief Economics and Head of Insurance in various capacities to facilitate the work across several teams
-Quantifying the impact of economic risk
The successful candidate will bring the following skills:
-Master’s or Phd in Economics with 2-5 years of experience in macroeconomic, insurance analysis and forecasting
-Experience in the insurance industry would be considered as a plus
-Strong data and statistical analysis skills are essential
-Great interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate enjoys a high level of interaction and is able to communicate and express complex ideas in a coherent manner
-Econometric and programming skills in relevant softwares such as Stata, Python or similar
-Flawless communication skills in English
