On behalf of our client in Zurich, we are looking for a committed and flexible database engineer with immediate effect.
Your responsibilities:
- Operation of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases in a highly automated environment
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting in cooperation with those responsible for the application and infrastructure teams
- Participation in the implementation of application projects
- Automation of processes in the database environment
- On call every five weeks for one week
Your background:
- Technical university (Uni, ETH, FH), training in computer science or other equivalent training with a focus / specialization in computer science
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the database environment Oracle / Unix and Windows / SQL Server
- Knowledge of scripting languages ??(Perl, Power Shell) is an advantage
- Conceptual and analytical skills as well as a high willingness to learn and work
- Communicative personality with good cooperation skills
- Good knowledge of German and English
