The role offers varied hands-on tasks and responsibilities with a focus on operating, supporting, maintaining and upgrading the Business Application platform and in particular the new Front Platform of the Bank.
About our client
Our client is an established international bank in Switzerland based in Zurich.
On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is currently looking for an IT Operations Specialist for a 80-100% workload. This is a permanent opportunity.
Due to visa restrictions we can only consider EU or Swiss passport holders.
Your mission
- Overseeing and executing the day-to-day activities of Operating systems as well as the Core- and surrounding Applications and Databases
- Ensuring system processes are properly scheduled and monitored during the day and on call
- Managing incidents and system upgrades out of office hours or over weekends
- Installing applications and interfaces using automation and based on a banking security standard
- Managing testing and releases of new IT services, with a focus on adopting proper change management processes
- Supporting the team in continual improvement of systems through careful analysis of issues and their causes
- Coordination with external parties providing infrastructure and application services
- Managing smaller technical IT projects such as infrastructure change or introduction of a new service
- Setup, maintenance, monitoring and support of the Business Applications platform of the Bank. The main components of the platform are:
o Infrastructure: Linux, Windows and AIX Servers
o Databases: MS SQL and Oracle
o Key Applications: Avaloq core Banking, Avaloq Front Platform (eBanking), Advisory system Finantix
Your background
- Experience as Database Administrator Oracle and/or MS SQL
- Excellent knowledge of Linux / Unix
- Experience in 2nd and 3rd level support
- ITIL Foundation
- Knowledge around network and system security topics such as hardening, WAF, Loadbalancer, firewalls)
- Experience in release and change management such as Bamboo, BitBucket and Nexus
- Experience of managing small projects independently like for example system upgrades
- Detailed knowledge and ability to drive operational efficiency and improvements in the day-to-day business
- Preferably knowledge in PKI infrastructure, Splunk and experience in programming in Shell-Script and PowerShell
- Exceptional Service Delivery Mentality with a focus on quality and excellence
-Strong communication skills and excellent language skills in English and German
