Java Developer – Trading Applications

On behalf of our client, a private Swiss bank, Swisslinx are looking for a Java Developer with strong experience with trading applications.

This is a 12 month contract.

You will work closely with trading and sales desks, business analysts, and with developers in other teams. We are looking for a flexible and goal-oriented developer who is enthusiastic to work in a small team to design, implement and test based on the requirements of the stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:
-Integrate and support financial models developed by the Quant team
-Development of micro services for the trading tools in JAVA
-Maintaining and continuously improving existing software
-Designing, implementing, testing and integrating solutions to meet new business requirements
-Providing third level support and user training
-Liaising with key business and IT stakeholders

The successful candidate will have:
-University or FH degree in Computer Science
-Several years of working experience in developing trading applications
-Very good understanding of financial products, in particular of Structured Products and FX Options
-Experience in integrating financial models
-Experience in working with complex systems and willingness to learn how they work
-Several years of experience in Object-oriented Programming in Java
-Hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, JMS, JPA, Maven, IntelliJ, Git
-Experience in modelling relational databases, Oracle, Hibernate, JDBC
-Fluency in German and English is required
