On behalf of our client, an international financial organization, Swisslinx are looking for an IMS System Engineer for a long term contracting opportunity based in Zurich. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a proactive team driven environment at an established global company.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Analysis and diagnosis of performance issues with IMS transactions
-Optimization and automation of IMS processes
-Installation and maintenance of IBM IMS TM and IMS DB
-Developing and customizing IMS Exits
-Training career starters in IMS
-Guaranteeing Level 2 Support
-Working with Db2, CICS, ACF2, SAzOS and performance teams
Background and Experience:
-Strong experience with IMS Engineering, preferably working with IMS V14/V15
-Experience working within financial institutions
-Assembler skills to customize and maintain IMS Exits
-Experience with IMS DB
-PL1 and REXX skills are advantageous
-CICS skills are advantageous
-Good communication skills and a team player
-Fluent English
