For our client, an international bank based in Zurich, Swisslinx are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst with Financial Accounting experience and knowledge of impairment (e.g. IFRS/US GAAP) projects to support the delivery of regulatory requirements as part of a global impairment program for US GAAP.
This is a 6 month rolling contract starting in July/August with a strong chance of renewal, located in Zurich.
As the successful candidate you will join a highly motivated team of finance and IT professionals within the Finance Change department of the bank. Your goal will be drive deliverables in project, including designing, constructing and implementing processes and controls to deliver timely and accurate presentation and disclosures covers both the end-to-end process/controls as well as specific IT developments to enable delivery of the required presentation and disclosures.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Play an instrumental role as BA and drive for the gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for solutions, where required
- Preparation of functional specifications and use cases for the delivery of the business requirements
- Review recommended solution and control completeness of IT specifications vs. business requirements
- Preparation of test plans, test cases, co-ordinating with users and IT during the testing phase
- Execution of specific test cases
- Preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required
- Performs User training where required
- Responsible for follow-up activities such as defect fix and business support
As the ideal candidate you will possess the following skills and experience:
- 10+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Proven track record in large scale global regulatory projects
- In-depth knowledge of Finance Change/Finance Accounting
- Experience translating requirements for IFRS, IFRS9 and/or US GAAP/Swiss GAAP Accounting Treatment
- Degree in Finance Accounting/MBA Finance/CA/ICWA/CPA/ACCA
- Knowledge of banking products (loans, SLB, risk models, …)
- Experience managing senior stakeholders
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English
