As the premier supplier to our client, one of the most established pharmaceutical companies worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong background in real time C++ development for an 9+ month contract.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is both deadline focused and thorough in the approach to work. This role will requires close collaboration with the domain specialists of other departments. Furthermore, you will be establishing a reliable and adaptable toolchain for other teams to build upon and rely on.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Software development within an Agile Release Train, developing frameworks, libraries and simulations
• Relentless improvement of the software stack and toolchain
• Participate in all phases of software development from feasibility studies through design, development, testing, documentation, devops and bug fixing including software maintenance
• Close collaboration with the internal customers eg. SW Developers of other departments
Must Haves:
• Knowledge and experience in modern C++ (C++11 or higher)
• Must feel comfortable on a GNU command line
• Experience with git and at least one collaboration tool (github/gitlab/bitbucket) experience with Linux, for example, Debian packaging basic system administration experience with container virtualization (docker, lxd, etc.) writing of shell scripts
• Experience with modern Python, for example, developing command-line tools writing web backends
• Web FrontEnd knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and JS framework experiences are a plus
• Feels comfortable in an agile environment, experience is a plus
• English and German written and spoken
