As the premier supplier to our client, a leading commodities company based in Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for a highly motivated individuals to take on a challenging role as an Business Application Specialist for a 12-month contract, onsite 4 days a week with the possibility to be made permanent after 12 months.
Our client is looking for a candidate to provide day-to-day support for global business users on access-related issues for key marketing applications. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving complex access queries, and regularly communicating progress to stakeholders, while collaborating with analysts and developers to ensure smooth operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Support business users globally with access related queries on the main Marketing Applications
- Be part of a global support team distributed across Switzerland, Canada and Australia
- Work closely working with business analysts and developers to solution new requirements or resolve complex issues about access
- Regular communication on status and progress of pending issues to relevant stakeholders
- Problem management and proposal of correcting measures to proactively prevent reoccurring issues
Project role:
- Participate actively in the User Access Management Review project
- Analyze current access models and propose simplification and harmonization
- Understand the current tools used for access management and propose functional enhancements
- Enhance the supporting reports of the bi-annual user access review process
- Work on access request and approval processes and tools
Your background:
- You must have experience working on access management on complex applications ideally on ERP projects
- Strong experience working in a similar role with the focus on a agile and analytical personality
- Strong analytical skills and experience in business analysis methodologies
- Excellent skills in SQL and should be able to create queries and understand data models
- Solid understanding of common business information system architectures and underlying technologies
- Proven experience of supporting either off-the-shelf or custom-built business information systems
- Proven experience of in user access management support or projects
- Familiar with data warehouse platforms and ETL tools and processes
- Understanding of IT development technologies and processes (SDLC)
- Excellent English language skills; additional languages such as German are a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the business and IT
- Self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and pride in delivering quality work
- Delivery and customer-focused, able to meet tight deadlines while adhering to system and data architecture principles
- Onsite ideally 3-4 days a week
- Valid Swiss working permit or EU Nationality
