Swisslinx is supporting a trusted and renowned Pharmaceutical leaders in securing a Chemist/Materials Scientist to join their multidisciplinary team in Rotkreuz. The position is home based at present and a temporary contract for 1 year with the possibility of renewal.

The team is focussed on developing IVD reagents (calibrators, controls, internal solutions) used with Blood Gas Electrolytes (BGE) product instruments, establishing and evaluating of reagent specifications and requirements as well as the improvements of in-process control and release (QC) test methods.

Your mission

- Contribute to the development of reagent formulations in a lab-lot scale and set-up of pilot scale filling line for reagent production
- Assessment of chemical stability, sensor and material compatibility of formulations
- Analysis of reagents and materials in external laboratories according to standards; evaluation of test results
- Ensure test plans, project timelines and test results/documentation/reports generation are met appropriately
- Support of Manufacturing and Regulatory Affairs and providing product care for all system fluids in BGE systems.
- Build strong working relationships within the team and internal stakeholders

Your background
- Educational background in Chemistry or Materials Science
- 1-3 years’ R&D work experience with a focus on development of IVD reagents/assessment of chemical stabilities
- Experience conducting hands-on experiments utilising HPLC/IC, UV/VIS or IR spectroscopy
- Strong communications in English
- Team orientated and ability to success collaborate with several departments (R&D, Operations and QA)
- Experience a GxP environment or microbiological control of IVD reagents is a plus but not essential
- Curious, solution focussed and organised approach to work
