Our client is an international Commodity Trading group.

On behalf of our client, Swisslinx is looking for a dynamic and business oriented Financial Accounting Manager to lead a team and be responsible for the direct supervision of all accounting and reporting of the Swiss legal entities.

Your mission

- Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing and reporting as per Group instructions
- Drive improvement projects to reduce closing time, automate processes, strengthen internal controls and gain operating efficiencies, including but not limited to: general & administrative expenses management, intercompany reconciliation and interfaces between systems
- Implement monthly review of overhead expenses and perform variance analysis against budget
- Ensure local compliance requirements are being met for all Swiss statutory accounting and filing
- Main contact person for Swiss audit process, ensuring smooth and timely issuance of unqualified audit opinions
- Perform Balance Sheet Review to ensure a no-surprise environment
- Review journals, reconciliations, monitor accounts during the month and during the monthly closing process
- Prepare monthly reporting packages
- Lead, supervise, motivate and develop the corporate accounting team

Your background

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position or as a financial auditor in a BIG 4
- Experience on a multi-currency environment
- Hands-on experience managing teams
- Strong accounting and finance background
- Excellent knowledge of Swiss GAAP and Swiss reporting obligations
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, innovating approach to work
- A team player with attention to detail and follow up
- Ability to work and deliver under pressure
- Exposure to a commodity trading business is a plus
- Experience of working in a highly international environment is a plus
- Full business proficiency in English is required. Additional languages preferred
- Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Cognos is a plus
