On behalf of our client, a private Swiss bank, Swisslinx is looking for a Firewall Engineer to join the team of three Firewall experts, based in Zurich. This is a 12-month contract role with possibility of extension, preferably starting in May 2021.
Your key responsibilities:
- Managing the operative business for the global firewall infrastructure
- Administration of the authorization rules for access to security devices
- Take over and solve firewall requests
- Communicating with the firewall suppliers at the operational level in German and English
- Significant participation in firewall operation and maintenance of the rule sets
- Managing the IPS (intrusion prevention service), including 1st and 2nd level support for the IPS infrastructure
- 1st and 2nd level support of the firewall, partner VPN and RAS VPN
- Continuous development and maintenance of internal know-how regarding the firewall
Your background:
- Good knowledge and experience in firewall administration
- Good knowledge of networks especially routing, multicast and VLANs
- Experience in an international environment, ideally in the financial industry
- Ideally experience with Fortigate Firewalls, but the client are open to experience with other vendors
- Very good knowledge of German and English
