For our client, an international bank with a global reach, Swisslinx are looking for a highly motivated hands on Full Stack Engineer with solution architecture and programming experience (Java, Angular 5+) to support the enhancement of lending platform in Zurich.
This is a rolling 6 month contract with a strong chance of renewal starting by April/May 2020.
As the successful candidate you will work in a multicultural and a globally dispersed architecture team working on a key initiative within to change the current applications landscape in the lending space by enabling clients for more self services and end to end digitalization and automation. The aim is to reduce complexity, provide more data and dashboards to our clients as well as internal stakeholders have to be build.
The team is 80 strong (divided into squads) and provides application development services for multiple divisions of our client, in particular around digital capabilities for credit & mortgage solutions for private and corporate clients. After project delivery, they are responsible for production support, maintenance and enhancements
In this role you will join one of the squads and be responsible for solution design (30%), coaching developers (20%) and programming tasks/implementing features (50%), as well as the following:
• The main function of this role is to analyze and estimate the business requirements, elaborate an appropriate application design, decide on the technology applied and clarify impact on other applications.
• Act as sounding board on all the different possibilities and communicates with all necessary stakeholders about interfaces, security
• Ensure high quality of work by conducting code reviews, ensuring unit testability of the application and supporting the development team
• This is a mixed role, which contains at least 50% solution engineering work as well. In this part of the role design decisions will be realized.
As the ideal candidate you will have a strong engineering background and will possess the following skills:
• Bachelor or Master (preferred) in Information Technology or Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of object oriented programming patterns and principles with very good Java know-how (5+ years) in an enterprise context
• Strong Java programming skills (Java 7, JPA, CDI, Jersey)
• In depth understanding of the JEE technologies (Weblogic, JEE 6, EJB, Webservices (REST))
• Strong understanding of the web technologies (JSF, JSON, HTML)
• Experience with Angular 5+
• Analytics capabilities with passion for data, and the know-how to wrangle large amounts of data
• Good hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architectures
• Motivation to contribute software improvements in an interesting environment experience in banking or finance industry
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of German nice to have
