On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer and distributer of B2B industrial machinery, Swisslinx is seeking a highly motivated Global Technical Portfolio Specialist to join their growing team in Zurich.
This is a diverse role which entail product development and design, sales support and business development, as well as project management on a global level. As such, our client is looking for a commercial and internationally minded candidate, with excellent technical abilities.
Your Mission:
- Act as technical subject matter expert, advising and working in cooperation with the team to develop creative and quality solutions to international clients
- Partake in client meetings and presentations to discuss tailored solutions and secure major projects
- Work closely with the product development team to design better and new generation products
- Work cross-functionally to implement projects on schedule and advise on optimisations
Your Background:
- Education in a relevant technical field, Physics / Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Aerospace or similar)
- Further education or training in a commercial subject is highly desirable, either an MBA or a Master’s in Business, Economics or related
- At least 5 years of experience in a R&D / product development / technical support role within industrial manufacturing
- Global level project management exposure is a plus, and in particular experience in Asia is a great asset
- Excellent technical knowhow combined with strong communication skills, and a business savvy attitude
- Fluent in English and a good understanding of German – other languages a plus
