Tasks & Responsibilities:
Operational responsibility: Manage the efforts to support business-critical Static and Reference data applications to surpass agreed service levels. Assist the business areas with the development and maintenance of operating procedures for Static and Reference Data applications supported by Banking IT.
Business process analysis and requirements specification: Analyse and design business processes around the GoldenSource reference and market data product. Translate business requirements into business and technical specifications, employing best industry practice. Interact with the relevant design teams with regard to translating requirements into detailed system specifications.
Application customisation and development: Contribute and lead enhancement of business applications and processes within the framework of established change management procedures. Assist with the regular upgrades and maintenance of applications and dependent infrastructure.
Project: Participate in projects according to the BIS Project Arrangements. Ensure that agreed deliverables, milestones, targets and budgets are observed, and advise corrective measures where necessary in cooperation with the project manager, project owner and steering committees.
Change management: Ensure that the changes to Banking applications follow the Bank’s standard change management processes. Manage the risk of changes and keep users and business areas informed.
User acceptance testing: Advise and participate in the development of test plans for business applications and the execution thereof. Coordinate and support business area acceptance testing for Reference and Market data projects.
Coordination / communication: Ensure effective communication to the Data Integration team, business areas and supporting functions.
Must haves:
• More than 3 years’ work experience supporting business applications in banking environment.
• At least 2 years’ experience developing customizations on GoldenSource application (or similar static and reference data management solutions) and good knowledge of financial instruments and Linux, Oracle.
• At least 3 years’ experience in plan and run workshops and meetings independently. Produce materials in support of requirements gathering.
• Strong background in business analysis methodologies and techniques. Skilled in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation. Ability to analyze business needs and distill into accurate and concise requirements documentation.
• Proven customer service skills with a proactive customer and service orientation- A proven track record of participating in large, business-critical projects that delivered satisfaction to stakeholders.
• Good programming skills in Java and solid technical knowledge of Linux, Oracle (able to read and amend codes when needed but not have to develop coding from scratch). (**)
