For our client, a leading Life Sciences company with headquarters in the Basel area, Swisslinx are searching for a highly motivated Infrastructure Project Manager to join their Project Management team on a 9 month contract with a chance of extension.
Infrastructure Project Manager
Project background:
The Infrastructure Services – Project Management department is responsible to establish, plan, control, execute, and transition to operations the projects within the IT Infrastructure organization and parts of Application Services. The Senior Project Manager is responsible to scope, plan, manage and control global IT projects and to report in a timely, accurate and transparent manner by help of standardized methods to allow accurate portfolio management and project execution control within Infrastructure and Application Services.
The Infrastructure Services Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing assigned resources, effectively tracking budgets and financial forecasts, creating and tracking detailed project plans, effectively leading and facilitating project meetings as well as proactively controlling project scope, risks and issues. This position is expected to provide timely status reports to all stakeholders and escalate issues to the appropriate management level. The Infrastructure Services Senior Project Manager must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently. Additionally, this position must effectively manage the projects across global locations and time zones and be able to travel internationally as needed.
Tasks and Responsibilities include:
- Take the leadership of the project team
- Finalize scope, lead project requirements definition and approval
- Plan and drive the implementation of the project
- Support the Solution and Component Owners with sound decision making options
- Handle project communication and reporting tasks
- Manage the project budget forecasting and tracking
- Proactively manage project risks
- Take care of managing project documentation
What to bring:
- 8+ years of IT Project Management in general.
- Resource, schedule, budget planning, tracking, risk management experience (RAID).
- Excellent English communication skills, oral and written
- Team leadership experience
- Software Integration and Deployment Projects
- Good organizational skills
- Very strong negotiation skills
- Software Development Lifecycles Projects
- Infrastructure deployment project experience
- Validated Systems Projects (e.g. CSV)
