On behalf of our client, a global leader in Life Sciences, Swisslinx are currently looking for an IT Team Lead for SAP Application Services to join a permanent job opportunity in the area of Basel.

Your responsibilities:
- Lead and coach a team of IT developers
- Responsible for staff related activities such as recruitment and development
- Monitor and improve the performance of assigned team members
- Act as delivery manager involving external parties, and as business partner for internal stakeholders
- Gather IT requirements to understand business needs
- Inform, consult, and advice IT solutions
- Coordinate the implementation of a new roll-out of existing IT business applications and development
- Responsible as a resource manager to staff IT projects
- Ensure and organize availability of resources for 3rd level support out of own team
- Work in strategic IT projects as project manager and/or solution specialist. Identify user requirements, work out concepts and specifications, moderate workshops and coordinate tasks
- Contribute to the definition, documentation, development and training of the IT business application deployment approach and enforce it as part of projects.

Your background:
- Outstanding skills in SAP ECC, SAP ABAP, SAP PI/PO and other (cloud) integration technologies with ability to drive excellence and set standards within the team   
- System configuration and/or customization know-how
- Excellent understanding of the business processes and concepts
- IT project methodology know-how
- Teaching, mentoring and coaching ability
- Fluency in English, written and verbal
