As the leading supplier to our client, one of the most instantly recognizable brands in the banking sector worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for a motivated Java Developer with solid backend experience to work on a complex environment using cloud technologies.
This is a rolling 12 month contract with a strong chance of extension and a start date ASAP.
As the successful candidate you will support the Bank’s Strategic platform for Compliance and Risk providing a holistic case management solution to drive the following impact.
You will be part of a highly collaborative team working across multiple locations.
Working in a large and complex environment, your responsibilities will be:
• Handling development work across teams in Zurich and Lausanne
• Collaborating on daily basis with the Business in Compliance Competence Center (Zurich) and with other IT department within Switzerland and other locations
• Defining requirements, taking architecture decisions, running pre-production activities
• Technical coaching
• Applying Continuous Integration/Development and Testing Techniques
• Practicing Agile and XP development
• Provide planning input for IT project manager regarding development/infrastructure tasks
• Active collaboration with business-, IT- and testing guides
• The chance to innovate existing solutions and challenge the status-quo.
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following skills and experience:
• 8+ years of development engineering project experience in Java
• Expertise in back-end development engineering (Java, JEE) and microservice architecture.
• Expertise in Spring framework (SpringBoot, Security, MVC, Batch, Integration, Data)
• Expertise in Continuous Development/Continuous Integration
• You are motivated to work in an agile, iterative development methodology
• Good knowledge in UML design and design patterns
• Fluency in English
The following skills are nice to have:
• Familiarity in Cloud development/deployment
• Familiarity with workflows, business rules engines, document management
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries and Frameworks such as React JS is a plus
• Big data infrastructure and development knowhow is a plus
• Understanding of regulatory environments and finance is an advantage
Please note due to COVID interviews would be conducted remotely, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. The team is currently split between WFH and office right now. Post COVID occasional home office will be permitted 2-3 days a week.
