For our client, an International firm within the Healthcare & Life Sciences based in Basel, Swisslinx is seeking a highly motivated individual to take on a challenging role as a Junior Test Analyst. This is a great opportunity to bring your proven knowledge and expertise to an organization that offers a dynamic working environment. This is a contract position for 12 months with possibility for extension.

Job Title: Junior Test Analyst
Duration: 12 months (possibility for extension)

Your mission:
• Support in the Biosafety level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory
• Maintaining of the laboratory, laboratory analyzers and analytical instruments
• Tracking laboratory inventory (e.g supplies, specimens, raw materials, reagents)
• Performing daily routines
• Running controls and processing samples
• Laboratory responsible person
• Close collaboration with scientists, engineers and hematology experts
• Support by conducting laboratory experiments and protocol testing on specific equipment
• Independent preparation and documentation of experiments including data analysis


Your background:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in working with biological material and potentially infectious samples in a BSL-2 laboratory
• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Natural Science (Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or cognate disciplines) or apprenticeship as lab technician (Biology, Medical Diagnostics, Chemistry)
• Very Good MS Office (Excel for data analyses) and documentation skills
• High level of attention, flexibility in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to grasp quickly new topics, understand problems and work independently in a structured way
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a “Systems thinking” mindset / multidisciplinary approach
• Cooperation in an interdisciplinary and intercultural team

Nice to have:
• Experience in hematology lab
• Experience in flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy
• Previous experience in the GXP / IVD area
