On behalf of our client, one of the most established financial institutions worldwide, Swisslinx are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record managing large projects and budgets in the banking industry to work on a project to enhance a wealth management platform.
This is a 12 month contract starting in August/September, with a strong chance of extension.
A challenging role as a Senior IT Project Manager you will work in an experienced cross functional team in Switzerland and Poland consisting of Business Analysts, Project Managers, Quants and SW Developers responsible for adapting a wealth management platform to meet next generation requirements.
Duties and responsibilities include:
• Leading project teams of onsite developers, requirement engineers, testers for the implementation of new requirements affecting risk engines and financial data warehouse
• Interaction with different business and IT stakeholders
• Managing several projects in parallel and proactively tracking budgets and status
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will possess the following skills:
• Several years of IT Program or Project management experience within the Banking, Trading, or Investment Management industries
• Ability to manage several projects in parallel with complex dependencies and multiple stakeholders and to assure IT front-to-back integration testing
• Comfortable with intense administrative processes such as frequent updates of budget forecasts and resource allocations using internal project management tools
• Ability to perform quality checks on overall IT delivery timelines and to ensure that the plans delivered by different teams are aligned
• Previous experience with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of DWH or financial data (reference and time-series) nice to have
• Excellent communication skills in English
