Test Automation Engineer
On behalf of our client, a private Swiss bank, Swisslinx are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a 12 month contract in Zurich.
The main task is to design and write programs that run automatic tests on the existing trade capture software as an essential part of the software development cycle.
Further responsibilities will include:
-Set and establish testing tools and standards and integrate them to the current build pipeline
-Execute manual and automated test cases
-Liaise with developers during the Software Development Life Cycle and communicate with other departments for infrastructure changes
-Ensure that defect tracking (identification, fixing, re-testing and migration of defects) is properly addressed
-Follow bug reporting and tracking process
-Assist in Quality Assurance of the Application
The successful candidate will bring:
-Extensive experience as a Senior Test Engineer in the banking industry
-Proven experience developing and successfully implementing automated tests
-Programming experience at least with Java and/or Javascript
-Very good knowledge of Jenkins
-Deep understanding of html single page applications and comfortable with new web technologies
-Good knowledge of Linux
-Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
