Business Objects Supporter

As the premier supplier to our international banking client in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for a Business Objects Developer with in depth technical expertise and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

The duties involve everything from helping users with little knowledge and experience with the tool, to maintaining the platform, as well as developing and enhancing existing reports. There are over 1200 reports in the system. The platform currently runs SAP BusinessObjects version 4.3, complemented by software such as Infoburst and 360Suite.

This is an initial 6 month contract with start ASAP (with likely extension up to max 5 years).

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, development, and support for the SAP BusinessObjects environment and business users
• Create and modify reports and universes within SAP BusinessObjects
• Maintain and support the SAP BusinessObjects BI platform, including software patching and platform administration
• Support the migration from SAP BusinessObjects 4.3 to BI 2025
• Participate in system changes, testing activities, and occasional out-of-hours support when required

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects
• Strong knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects, ideally version 4.3
• Proven experience creating and modifying reports and universes
• Experience supporting non-technical business users in production environments
• Expert-level SQL knowledge

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP BusinessObjects BI 2025
• Knowledge of Infoburst
• Knowledge of 360Suite
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
