Test Case Designer

This is a long-term contract role within a dynamic and collaborative environment, focused on delivering high-quality, automation-ready test cases across complex banking systems.

As part of an agile project team, you will:

• Design, analyse, and document detailed, high-quality test cases for manual execution and future automation
• Produce structured test documentation (e.g. Xray format), including navigation paths, user roles, and data setup
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into comprehensive test scenarios
• Review and optimise existing test cases, identifying gaps and redundancies
• Execute tests, document results, and identify defects with clear root cause analysis
• Set up test environments and prepare test data
• Assess product risks and define appropriate test coverage
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and test automation engineers
• Ensure test cases are automation-ready and reusable
• Provide clear reporting and test evidence to stakeholders
• Support the integration of project test cases into regression test suites

• Strong experience in test case design and documentation within banking or financial services
• Proven background in SIT, UAT, and regression testing
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
• Solid understanding of core banking systems, ideally with exposure to Temenos T24 / Transact
• Knowledge of payments processing (e.g. SEPA, SWIFT, cross-border payments)
• Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA and Xray
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber) is advantageous
• ISTQB certification (Foundation level or higher)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Experience across banking domains such as:
  • Account management
  • Deposits and lending
  • Trade finance and treasury
  • Securities processing
• Understanding of system workflows, data models, and transaction flows within core banking platforms
