Compliance Automation Engineer

As a Compliance Automation Engineer you will design, build, and maintain automated solutions that streamline the recurring control and compliance duties of the Banking Technology subdepartment. You will translate manual tracking processes into reliable, auditable workflows and create clear visualisations dashboards and reports that give stakeholders real-time insight into control health, remediation status, and process compliance. You will act as the primary technical owner of the integration layer between our ServiceNow Suite (including CMDB), GitHub, Microsoft 365, and banking-internal workflow applications, ensuring that compliance data flows accurately and securely across systems.

• Design, develop and maintain Python-based automation solutions to streamline compliance processes, recurring controls, evidence collection and exception handling.
• Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow, GitHub, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate), on-premises systems and internal applications using REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to automate the deployment and version control of scripts, workflows and platform configurations.
• Create dashboards and visualisations providing real-time insights into compliance status, control effectiveness, CMDB health, SLA performance and operational KPIs.
• Enhance CMDB data quality through automated reconciliation, discovery processes and scheduled validation checks while maintaining ServiceNow Flow Designer and Business Rules.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit teams to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions and produce audit-ready evidence packages.
• Implement automated monitoring, alerting and escalation mechanisms for overdue controls, policy exceptions and data quality issues, while ensuring all solutions are documented, peer-reviewed and governed according to ITIL and change management best practices.

Additional experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

ServiceNow (ITSM, ITAM, ITGRC), Flow Designer, Business Rules, CMDB & Discovery, PowerShell, Hybrid Active Directory scripting, JSON/XML, SharePoint, data quality & reconciliation, dashboard development.

Nice to have: Experience within banking or another regulated environment, ServiceNow certifications, Azure/Microsoft Purview, low-code platforms, or data lineage and audit trail knowledge.
