What You’ll Be Doing (AKA Your Mission)

• Develop new and analyze existing APIs using a three-layer architectural concept to power digitalization across the bank.
• Take charge of API management-design, develop, and maintain their API service catalog like a digital librarian with a flair for innovation.
• Continuously improve software development processes and toolchains, ensuring the team always has the sharpest gadgets.
• Be the mastermind behind their integration platform, supporting and evolving it throughout its entire lifecycle.
• Safeguard the reliability of the integration layer: execute unit tests, debug, perform upgrades, and provide 2nd and 3rd level support in collaboration with tech partners.

What Powers You Bring

• Higher education in computer science or business informatics (university or university of applied sciences).
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Integration and API platforms (bonus points for MuleSoft and RESTful APIs)
  • Java and design patterns
  • Interface protocols like REST, SOAP, IBM MQ, JMS API
  • Relational databases (MariaDB, MySQL, MSSQL)
  • Tools like Maven, GitLab, Artifactory, Jira, Configseeder (if you’ve got them, flaunt them)
  • OpenShift, Kubernetes, and IT banking project experience
  • Knowledge of Avaloq and its data model is a plus
• Absolutely essential: You are a native German speaker or possess German language skills at C2 level-this is a must for this role!
• You’re a strong communicator, highly motivated, and fiercely independent with analytical, methodical, and conceptual skills that would impress even Sherlock Holmes.
