Data Platform Support - Senior Data Solution Engineer

For an exciting data platform initiative, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Solution Engineer with a strong focus on Analytics Engineering, BI solutions, and business-oriented data modeling.

You will play a key role in translating complex data into trusted, business-ready insights, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Start date: ASAP (latest mid-February 2026)
• Workload: 80–100%
• Initial duration: 10 months with possible extension
• Work location: Central Switzerland & remote

Translate data into actionable and reliable business insights by designing and delivering high-quality data marts, semantic models, and BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.

• Design and build domain-oriented data marts in Snowflake using dbt
• Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models (datasets, DAX measures, hierarchies)
• Create clear, insightful Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business KPIs
• Optimize query performance and visualizations for scalability and usability
• Automate BI and dbt deployments using Azure DevOps / CI/CD pipelines
• Implement security concepts, including row-level security (RLS) and BI governance
• Ensure stable operations by understanding business-critical reports, SLAs, and ITIL-aligned support processes
• Collaborate closely with data platform teams, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Contribute to an agile working environment, including regular architecture alignment sessions

• Several years of professional experience in Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, or Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt
• Deep knowledge of Power BI, including semantic modeling and DAX
• Solid understanding of business-oriented data modeling and data marts
• Experience with BI governance, security concepts, and operational support
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and automated deployment pipelines
• Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions
