Job description

As an IT Workplace Support Specialist, you will serve as the frontline representative of the Engineering division, delivering exceptional support for workplace desktop technologies, telephony, mobile access, and multimedia conferencing solutions. You will ensure seamless technology experiences for internal users and clients, supporting everything from daily operations to high-profile (live and virtual) events. 

Your Team

You and your IT colleague will be supporting 180 users across 4 floors, in addition you will work closely with the global IT team.

 

Your mission:



  • Provide hands-on support for desktop hardware, telephony, and mobile access solutions.
  • Collaborate with global Client Response Service teams for hardware break/fix, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Support hardware lifecycle activities including asset tracking, RMA processing, and secure decommissioning.
  • Deliver AV support for meetings, live events, and high-profile presentations.
  • Operate AV systems including Cisco and QSC hardware
  • Provide first-line preventative maintenance and monthly health checks on AV equipment.
  • Manage AV logistics for events such as townhalls, IPOs, and external client meetings.
  • Monitor and respond to ticket queues and team distribution lists in a timely, coordinated manner.
  • Submit and manage ServiceNow incidents and multimedia work orders.
  • Participate in building power-down support, including out-of-hours and weekend work as required.
  • Deliver in-person, phone, and Zoom-based support to global colleagues and clients.
  • Guide users on proper equipment usage and ensure all handovers meet safety and quality standards.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, senior stakeholders, and external vendors

Requirements

Your Profile (Must-haves):

  • 1-2 year of corporate AV or technical support experience.
  • A strong communicator (corporate; supporting senior management), multitasking, and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows, and macOS environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and desktop hardware (e.g., Cisco voice products).
  • Basic networking and Citrix/VMware troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience with laptop setup, encryption, and support.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Desired skills (nice-to-haves):

  • Experience operating sound and vision mixing equipment.
  • Proven ability to support large-scale AV events.
  • Strong client-facing skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
  • Experience with disaster recovery testing and recovery support.
