Job description
- Perform microbiology testing, including microbial identification, endotoxin testing, microorganism detection, growth promotion, and enumeration.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory instrumentation for manufacturing activities.
- Support the development and execution of microbiology studies.
- Help establish analytical procedures and protocols.
- Work with cGMP-regulated computerized systems and support paperless workflows.
- Develop expertise in classical and rapid microbiological methods.
- Collaborate across teams in a high-throughput, automated environment with real-time monitoring and integrated IT systems.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in Biological Quality Control, Microbiology, and analytical functions
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment
- At least 1 year working in a GMP-regulated setting
- Completed apprenticeship degree (Laborant EFZ) in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related technical field
- Strong analytical skills in Microbiology (e.g., Bioburden, Endotoxin testing, Growth Promotion Tests)
- Solid understanding of modern analytical microbiological methods to support quality strategies
- Proven problem-solving abilities and capacity to work both autonomously and cross-functionally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Familiarity with Quality Systems and business processes related to microbiological testing (drug substance)
