Job description
This role provides visionary and strategic leadership for global brand development across a defined crop protection portfolio. You will elevate brand excellence by ensuring New Product Introductions (NPIs) are positioned for long-term commercial success and that brand strategy is embedded throughout the full product lifecycle.
As a global brand leader, you will shape how brands and communications evolve from concept to maturity, influencing cross-functional teams to ensure customer insights, market intelligence, and brand strategy are central to decision-making. You will lead the development and execution of high-impact global brand strategies and 360° launch frameworks that strengthen brand equity and enable consistent, high-quality execution across markets.
Your responsibilities
- Own and lead global brand strategy across the portfolio, ensuring sustained brand equity growth and alignment with long-term commercial objectives.
- Define and drive the global positioning, value proposition, and narrative for all NPIs, independently shaping brand direction and ensuring launches deliver measurable market impact.
- Embed brand strategy, customer insights, and market intelligence into cross-functional decision-making by influencing project, marketing, regional, and market teams.
- Guide and challenge regional and local teams to ensure global brand strategies and launch frameworks are effectively localized and executed with excellence.
- Oversee global brand governance, ensuring consistent application of brand frameworks, messaging, and portfolio architecture across markets.
- Lead and manage the annual global brand budget by setting strategic investment priorities, aligning spend with market needs, tracking ROI, and providing regular performance updates to the global portfolio leadership team.
- Partner closely with Technical, Regulatory, and R&D teams to translate complex scientific and product information into compelling, customer-relevant brand stories.
- Monitor and evaluate brand performance using global metrics and insights, continuously optimizing positioning and recommending enhancements.
- Champion branding as a strategic capability within the organization, strengthening cross-functional understanding and promoting brand-led decision-making.
Requirements
- University degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in brand management or marketing leadership, ideally within crop protection, agri-tech, chemicals, or other technically complex B2B industries.
- Demonstrated success leading global or regional brand strategies and New Product Introductions from concept through commercialization.
- Strong experience working cross-functionally with R&D, Technical, Regulatory, Commercial, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders without direct authority, including global, regional, and executive-level partners.
- Hands-on experience with brand governance, positioning, and messaging frameworks, balancing global consistency with local market needs.
- Backgrounds may include Global or Regional Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, Portfolio Lead, Product Manager, or similar roles in fast-paced, technical environments.
- Experience in sustainability-driven portfolios, digital marketing in technical sectors, or multi-market launches is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under time pressure in a matrix environment.
- Team-oriented, customer-focused, and proactive, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive innovation.
- Decisive, communicative, and quick to learn.
- Fluent in English.
