Job description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an NGS and Microfluidic Screening Technician based in Epalinges. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) experiments, conducting microfluidic screenings, and collaborating with the research team to optimize experimental protocols and workflows.

Requirements

  • Perform microfluidic experiments for drug screening
  • Prepare tumor cells
  • Prepare libraries for sequencing
  • Routine reagent ordering and preparation
  • Optimise sample and library preparation
  • Organise sample and library data
  • Contribute to the development of new sequencing strategies

Competences

  • CFC or BSc/MSc in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in library preparation for RNA-Sequencing
  • Experience in cell culture
  • Experience with single-cell RNA-Seq library preparation (e.g., 10X Genomics, DropSeq, Fluidigm) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of biology and scientific projects
  • Good communication skills
  • Highly motivated and eager to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • No prior experience in microfluidics required — full training provided
