Job description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an NGS and Microfluidic Screening Technician based in Epalinges. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) experiments, conducting microfluidic screenings, and collaborating with the research team to optimize experimental protocols and workflows.
Requirements
- Perform microfluidic experiments for drug screening
- Prepare tumor cells
- Prepare libraries for sequencing
- Routine reagent ordering and preparation
- Optimise sample and library preparation
- Organise sample and library data
- Contribute to the development of new sequencing strategies
Competences
- CFC or BSc/MSc in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in library preparation for RNA-Sequencing
- Experience in cell culture
- Experience with single-cell RNA-Seq library preparation (e.g., 10X Genomics, DropSeq, Fluidigm) is a plus
- Strong understanding of biology and scientific projects
- Good communication skills
- Highly motivated and eager to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- No prior experience in microfluidics required — full training provided
