Senior UX/UI Engineer

Location: Kaiseraugst, Switzerland (up to 3 days remote)

Contract: 10 months, possible extension

Workload: 80–100%

Start: ASAP – latest 01 December 2025

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Engineer to join a skilled engineering team working on large-scale application hosting. The focus is on building user-friendly, high-performing web applications that integrate with complex backend systems and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable and reliable features using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS
• Contribute to the full lifecycle: wireframing, design, development, deployment, and maintenance
• Work closely with product managers and backend engineers to deliver clean, maintainable code
• Integrate with REST APIs to deliver robust user-facing features
• Ensure best practices in performance, accessibility, testability, and code quality

Requirements

• 5+ years building complex, user-facing web applications
• Strong expertise in React (Hooks, Context, State Management) and TypeScript
• Experience in UI/UX design (wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/containerization
• Proficiency in CSS frameworks, Sass/Less, styled components
• Knowledge of ViteJS, TanStack Query, Zustand
• Hands-on with CI/CD (GitLab CI), REST APIs, and testing frameworks (Vitest, React Testing Library)
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
