As the number one supplier for our client, an international bank based in Zurich, Swisslinx are looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst/Project Manager to join a brand new project to implement a data streaming platform according to regulatory requirements.

This is a rolling 12 month contract starting in September/October with a strong chance of renewal, located in Zurich.

As the successful candidate you will lead the business engineering horizontal stream within a brand new and cross functional team and contribute to detailed solutions design and implementation using state of the art technology.

The project has the focus of delivering and integrating a data streaming platform for voting and notification facilities on a defined set of corporate actions with a vendor in line with SRD II EU Regulations.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Lead Business Engineering vertical stream in global group operations project
• Business Analysis to elicit and document requirements in an appropriate form that can support both the development (Kafka Microservices) as well as full automation testing of those services
• Teach team how to be modern in these techniques, training & leading the team in best practice
• Challenge existing assumptions, approaches and design through industry best practice experience in the area of asset servicing and operations
• Provide best practice in business value delivery strategies, requirements gathering techniques, and user acceptance techniques to various groups within our department
• Developing a Business Analysis Chapter across the various development teams
• Identify and analyse business requirements (data sources, interfaces, business logic and quality) and work directly with user/business, project manager, IT developers and other business customer to understand business requirements, objectives and specifications
• Active involvement in solution finding within the project (close collaboration with business and IT and other customers/stake holders)
• Key contact for business and IT on data and process related questions/issues within regulatory reporting and group ops applications, processes and strategies

As the ideal candidate you will possess the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
• Experience in developing concise requirements for back-end micro-services in an Agile environment
• Proven experience in a role as project management/team lead experience to be able to move the project forward, track timelines, produce reports in addition to BA tasks
• Comfortable with creating Agile epics and stories and maintaining a backlog with high quality stories and acceptance criteria, through regular grooming
• Ideally you will have experience in DevOps, Build and Test Tools tools
• You understand and can facilitate Domain Driven Design sessions to elicit requirements from the legacy applications
• Experience in Cucumber and Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA/Confluence)
• Fluency in English (ideally German as well)
