As a successful candidate you will join the Group Finance department and help them start their journey with Azure. We are looking for someone who can support developers to create reliable, secure and prefermant infrastructure components. We value Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings, so the ideal candidate will have experience of creating and managing set-ups using Databricks, Data Factory, App Service and Data Lake storage. You will play a lead role in shaping and delivering our cloud architecture, while instilling knowledge and best practices into our existing team of software engineers.

About our client

Our client is one of the leading insurance companies in Switzerland. This is a contracting role ideally starting on the 6th of January 2020 until end of June 2020 initially based in Zurich with the possibility to extend after.

Your background

- Experience with Azure DevOps and be ability to configure CI and CD pipelines
- Demonstrable experience deploying infrastructure components to Azure
- Work by default with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and be fluid with tools in this space e.g. PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager templates
- Have practical experience of the Azure ecosystem and constantly keep up-to-speed with the latest developments
- Understand the importance of security and be able to build a solution which keeps critical information secure today and tomorrow
- Ability to work with development teams, information security and other areas to address their needs and create an infrastructure set-up which meets all internal and external requirements
- Strong coding skills and will, as a matter of course, provide automated means of verification e.g. automated tests, for all your deliverables
- know how to put observability into practice in Azure
- have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- be fluent in English and be able to communicate complicated concepts simply and precisely (written and verbal)
