Would you like to know how your transaction at an ATM is processed through systems? Or how a terabyte database can be restored within a very short time? For our client's environment with NetBackup, Data Domain, All-Flash NVMe Storage and other interesting technologies, Swisslinx are looking for reinforcement to strengthen their team.
Do you know about NetBackup and are you interested in storage? Can you navigate on Linux systems without any problems and can you perform backup installations yourself? Then you fit perfectly into this team! The team bundles the competencies around the topic "data" like backup, high-end storage and databases.
In addition to your main job as a backup engineer, you have the opportunity to develop yourself further in other storage areas such as high-end NAS, block storage and SAN or in databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Your responsibilities:
- Active development of the backup landscape, which meets the high demands of customers
- Engineering, optimization and operation of the backup infrastructure
- Development of self-service functions and automation of operational tasks
- Support and advice for customers and colleagues in the storage area
Your background:
- Relevant training or further education in IT or related fields
- In-depth knowledge of Veritas NetBackup and Dell EMC Data Domain
- Knowledge of Linux is an advantage
- Knowledge of Python and Shell is a plus
- Fluency in German and English, spoken and written
