On behalf of our client, a market leader in lab equipment and software, serving a variety of industries worldwide, Swisslinx is seeking an International Sales Director (Head of Commercial) to join their team in Basel.
This is a newly created position to drive the company`s expanding markets/products. The main purpose would be to oversee a global team, manage and execute an effective sales strategy. As such, we are looking for a charismatic leader, passionate about sales.
Your Mission:
- Provide leadership for the global team – ensuring coherency and a strong sales orientated agenda
- Maintain existing accounts whilst developing prospects into returning clients
- Design an overall strategy and encourage the sales team to meet and surpass targets
- Keep up to date with market trends, competitor intelligence, and customer feedback
- Assist the product development team with new product launches and amendments
Your Background:
- Degree level education in a scientific subject
- 10 or more years of experience in sales (any industry with a scientific research and development focus)
- Demonstrated leadership skills through managing a team, preferably remote and international
- Experience selling capital equipment / capital goods is a must
- Fluent in English, German and other languages are a plus
