Our client is a medium sized pharmaceutical company with their main office in Kanton Bern. They are looking for a skilled IT Security and Network Engineer to commence a permanent full time position in the near future. Tasks
• Active support for the existing network team
• Development, further development and operation of security information and event management at the infrastructure level
• Responsible for IT incident management and development of solutions and services in the area of network security
• Support and advice in carrying out threat analysis and derivation of measures taking into account best practices approaches
• Creation of requirements for SIEM monitoring internally or in coordination with IT service providers (networks, databases, middleware, operating systems)
• Project management and support for IT security initiatives
• Participation in IT security committees and in the design of activities in the Security Operation Centre (SOC)

Skills required:
• Fluency in German and English is essential - candidates with no German language will not be accepted
• Higher technical training or a degree in IT
• Professional experience in setting up and operating a SIEM, especially in the connection of log files and the creation of use cases (CISSP training of an advantage)
• Good knowledge of relevant safety standards such as ISO 27001, 27002, BSI basic protection or similar
• Proven experience with products of leading manufacturers in the field of log data and SIEM
• In-depth network knowledge and high analytical and conceptual skills
• Project experience as well as high self-initiative and independence
