Do you have experience in IT Operations? Are you looking for
a new permanent opportunity at a major player in the healthcare sector and
interested in progressing your career?
This role at a global company in Bern, very close to the
main station, is a newly created position to lead their operational IT systems,
reporting to the Director of IT, as they expand and evolve their business and
technology. For this role it’s important that you are able to interact with,
coordinate and manage multiple external vendors as well as being able to perform
some occasional hands on work and cooperate with the internal IT Application
Delivery team. You are the “Ops” in DevOps, managing the environment in terms
of cost, performance, availability & compliance.
This role could be of interest to somebody with 3-5 years' experience in the IT Service / Operations area who is looking to take on a more senior position and increase their level of responsibility.
Main Responsibilities involve:
- Responsible for delivering IT service desk, IT workplace
and IT infrastructure services to our business customers
- Service provider management
- Optimise IT environment for availability, performance and
costs
- Drive innovative new technologies & solutions to
improve the user’s IT experience
- Manage IT operations budget, manage IT operations project
portfolio.
- Report to the IT Steering Committee
- Interact with business users to identify any current and
future needs
- Ensure compliance to Group IT policy and Group IT
security
- Drive improvements on end-user training, on-boarding and
off-boarding processes; own & drive IT knowledge management system for
end-users
- Ensure the agreed service level of selected external IT
provider(s) is always maintained
- Successfully supervise and coordinate the assigned IT
contract consultants
- Improve and optimize the outsourced IT support with
selected provider(s), enhancing the service quality
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in IT, Engineering or similar
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT Vendor / Environment
Management
- Educated in IT service management processes & ITSM
tools. ITIL certification is a plus
- Experience with:
Windows
workplace environment
Heterogeneous IT Infrastructure
(Microsoft Server, MS SQL Server, Active Directory, VMWare,
Oracle Database, Linux)
Microsoft
Azure tech-stack. MS 70-535 or 70-533 certification is a plus
Microsoft
Office 365 and related (Excel, Access, SharePoint, Teams)
- Experience with IT Budget / Planning / Procurement
- Experience in introduction or improvement of core IT
Service Operations processes
- Strong communicator, able to deal with international
stakeholders and understand the business
- Ability to manage other team members and some project
management experience
- Able to work independently and act proactively
- Fluent English essential, German is an advantage
