For our client, a leading Life Sciences company with headquarters in the Bern area, Swisslinx are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Security Engineer to join their expanding EMEA team.
The role supports and leads the Information Security Program in the areas of info threat detection, security operations, incident response and remediation and manage external security providers.
The focus of this position is to assist with improving threat detection, advanced correlation of SIEM, improve global security operations, contribute to security projects and participates in the development of other information security programs.
Security Engineer
Tasks and Responsibilities include:
-Improve and uplift the global security operations program and manage third party vendors.
Be the technical SME for global security solutions and incident response with a core focus on EMEA region.
-Provide technical advice and consultation as an SME for various security projects
-Provide technical resolution for security operations and incident response service requests and changes as part of the global change management system.
-Contribute to documenting technical processes and system operational procedures.
-Assist in improving and driving the global vulnerability management program including engaging with internal stakeholders at all levels of management.
-Participates as an SME in the development, operations, and improvement of the advanced threat detection, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform, Advanced Endpoint protection, -Web filtering, Email filtering, IPS/Next Gen Firewalls, MSSP processes and all related tools and processes.
-Provide Incident Response and Forensic Analysis with some guidance from Senior engineers.
-Assist in continuous improvement of Information Security Management System.
-Act as an SME and assist in scoping and execution of global CSL security programs and projects.
-Be a key team member of CSL’s global security operations and incident response team providing support for various regions
What to bring:
-Over 5 years of technical security experience within a cybersecurity operational capacity.
-Experience in at least one security technologies such as Symantec, Proofpoint, Zscaler, Palo Alto, Carbon Black, Nessus or similar EDR
-Experience in scoping and implementing security programs
-Strong stakeholder management experience along with an ability to consult on technical matters
-Fluency in English
-Experience working within large, complex technical environment
- Exposure working within a global matrix management organization
