On behalf of our client, an energy and commodity group, Swisslinx Middle East is looking for a Senior Core Java Developer for its’ Geneve office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in development, technical design and architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the business to understand processes and capture requirements
- Analysis and design of functions, components, applications, and entire systems across client, server, and database layers
- Application implementation
- Application testing
- Maintenance and support of production applications including enhancements and bug fixes
- Design and code review of the team’s deliverables
- Status reporting to management
Requirements:
- Strong Core Java development expertise with at least 7 years of development experience
- Experience with commodities trading industry or with trade finance platforms within financial services
- Service oriented technologies like REST, JSON, Protobuf, Spring Boot, Drop Wizard
- UI design and development like DevExtreme, React, Typescript
- Expertise with database-driven applications
- Experience with open source frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, Activiti a plus
- Design skills including OO analysis & design and Domain-driven design
- Agile development practices
