On behalf of our client, a major Swiss commodity trading company, Swisslinx is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a permanent position in Geneva. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a team to build an in-house state-of-the-art financial platform using the latest cutting edge technology. Ideally, you are a hands-on technologist with exposure in the financial sector and a good knowledge in developing Java-based, enterprise-wide OLTP systems with RDMS and NoSQL databases.
Your responsibilities:
- Working with cutting edge technologies in a dynamic agile environment
- Working with the business to understand processes and capture requirements
- Analysis and design of functions, components, applications, and entire systems; across n-tier client, server, and database layers
- Application implementation as part of a team or individually
- Robust application testing
- Design and code review of the team’s deliverables
Your profile:
- In-depth experience (7+ years) in bespoken development and system integration
- Ability to work across multiple technologies/languages
- UI design and development (DevExtreme, React, Typescript)
- Database-driven applications, including SQL, table design, performance tuning with Microsoft SQL Server or any other major RDBMS
- Strong experience with server-side Java development
- Experience in the global commodities trading and finance sector with emphasis in accounting and finance functions
- Demonstrates exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
