On behalf of our client, a global commodities firm, Swisslinx are looking for a Software Engineer for a role based in Geneva. You will be working with the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, team driven environment with an international company.
Tasks and Responsibilities
-Working on next-generation systems, Java ETL system for gathering data
-Develop and maintain in house Python system
-Collaborate with team and analysts on data retrieval aspects and analytics/visualization
-Working in an agile environment
-Working with businesses in capturing and processing requirements
-Analysis of design functions, components,
-Application implementation and application testing
Background and Expertise
-Degree in; Computing, Mathematics, Engineering or similar
-5+ years’ Java experience
-2+ years’ Python experience
-Strong experience with SQL database
-Strong experience with Unit and Integration testing
-Good knowledge of Spring/Spring Batch
-Experience with message application systems; Rabbit MQ
-Experience with Windows/Linux is advantageous
-Experience with Docker is advantageous
-Excellent communication skills
-Analytical mentality
-Fluent English
