As one of the top suppliers to our client, a prestigious bank in Basel, Swisslinx are looking for a highly motivated Tableau Developer to work on a project for external facing websites in the banking industry as part of a banking transformation program running for the next 4+ years.
This is a rolling contract (with possibility to extend for up to five years) role in Basel, Switzerland, starting in no later than August/September 2021, initially running until 31 March 2022.
Joining a highly professional and highly collaborative cross functional team in our client’s Banking Department you will take on a newly created function and will contribute to the creation of new customer facing solutions, with the aim of expanding functionality for financial institutions and migration to new technology based on Big Data.
Responsibilities include:
• Development of Tableau interactive and static dashboards; the latter for printed reports
• Requirements engineering
• Quality assurance (quality metrics, data quality layer)
• System and UX testing
• Deployment (change management)
• Responsibility for developing, maintaining and extracting knowledge from strategic internal and external data sets
• Studying fundamental and high impact business questions that directly affect the direction of the company and the industry at large
This is a great chance to work in a highly collaborative environment, not just among the team but with expert economists, technologists, data scientists and statisticians – and counterparts in other international organisations and central banks.
In order to be considered for this role, you have experience collecting and analysing complex requirements and designing digital experiences for banking customers. You will be an excellent communicator and will possess the as many of the following skills and experience:
• A university-level degree in information management, computer science or related field
• 3+ years professional experience in data visualisation using Tableau
• Knowledge of best practices in data visualization and business intelligence domains
• Experience in writing SQL and designing ETL frameworks
• Experience designing and developing online dashboards and reports, ideally for banking customers
• Experience in Big Data technologies and data lake solutions would be an advantage
• Strong expertise in gathering and understanding business requirements and transforming these into high-performing, highly aesthetic data visualisations
• You are an excellent communicator, demonstrating strong team player skills and the ability to work collaboratively with peers and in partnership with other key stakeholders)
• Fluency in English
Please note due to COVID interviews would be conducted remotely, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland. The team is currently working for home during the pandemic and 2-3 days home office will be offered post COVID.
