Recruitment Scams

Posting date: 03 August 2023

**BEWARE: we NEVER contact candidates via Facebook, Signal, or Telegram and, unless you have been in touch with us before and have left your mobile number, we will not contact you via WhatsApp.*

At Swissinx AG, we take the rise of recruitment fraud seriously, and maintaining the privacy and protection of candidates, clients, and members of the public, is a top priority at all times.

Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that scammers are impersonating as Swisslinx AG employees and circulating fraudulent employment opportunities under our company name. These individuals are posting fake job adverts and contacting victims through various social media and messaging platforms – namely, Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Signal - for the purpose of collecting personal and financial information.

While we have seen a decline in reports, and we are doing what we can to report these illicit activities to the relevant authorities, the issue is still ongoing. We therefore urge extreme caution.

We kindly ask you to review the following points to help you identify a legitimate Swisslinx AG employee:

  • Communication through Swisslinx will only take place via: Verified email accounts (name.surname@swisslinx.com); Employment social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn & Xing); registered phone lines (+41 58 268...) or Swiss mobile numbers (+41…)

  • We do not advertise job opportunities or contact candidates via Facebook, Signal, or Telegram and, unless you have been in touch with us before and have left your mobile number, we will not contact you via WhatsApp.
  • We do not collect any of your financial details or request fees (in cryptocurrency or any other form of payment method) for our services at any point during the recruitment process, and we will not send you job adverts or details without having spoken with you first.
  • Keep an eye out for poor spelling and grammar, suspicious content and images, as well as a communication style that creates a sense of urgency, pressure, or won't take “No” for an answer.
  • Names, titles, and expertise of Swisslinx employees can be verified through our website Meet the Team. However, in the case of scammers utilizing real Swisslinx Ag employee names, we encourage you to contact us directly for confirmation.
  • We only advertise job opportunities in our field of expertise and you can verify the legitimacy of job opportunities, by searching the job title on our Home Page

If you receive suspicious and unsolicited communication that do not follow the above guidelines please:

  • Do not share personal or financial information

  • Disregard the message immediately and contact us directly to further verify the legitimacy

  • Report the individual / account to the respective social media or messaging platform and authorities

Feel free to contact us on +41 (0)58 268 1000, or, complete our online form to report any suspicious activities to us directly. We will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.

We are committed to upholding the highest level of IT security. If you believe you have been impacted by a recruitment scam, we can reassure you that it is not due to any breach in the security of Swisslinx AG systems.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work on resolving this matter.
